Club tell Man Utd and Aston Villa to submit irresistible offer for World Cup star

Aston Villa and Manchester United are now well aware of the conditions in the race to sign a World Cup star this summer.

The two Premier League sides, who both have Champions League football to offer next season, are set to battle it out to land an impressive international who is full of potential.

It’s not a major surprise that Man United are on the hunt for another reinforcement, either. They’ve already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta and have got their sights firmly set on the likes of Mateus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson. The priority as far as they’re concerned comes in midfield.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, have endured a quieter start to the summer on the incoming’s front, but have been kept busy by exit rumours surrounding Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Martinez.

Whilst Arsenal are reportedly ramping up a move to sign the former, it is Juventus who could swoop in to land the latter. The Italian giants have turned their focus towards Martinez after missing out on Liverpool’s Alisson Becker.

Losing the World Cup winner would be a major blow for Villa just one year after they avoided his exit late on in the window, but it would at least hand Unai Emery the funds to welcome a rising star.

Aston Villa and Man Utd racing to sign goalkeeper

As reported by SportsBoom, Aston Villa and Man United are now racing to sign Zion Suzuki this summer.

The Parma goalkeeper is set to be at the centre of ‘one of the most compelling transfer stories of the summer’, as the Premier League duo are joined in the race by Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Napoli.

Parma have already outlined their conditions, telling Aston Villa and Man United to pay their unavoidable asking price or leave the race to sign Suzuki altogether. It’s a ruthless move, but one that they’re well-placed to make given the number of interested parties.

Whether the duo adhere to that demand is now the big question. Out of the two, Aston Villa are in the most desperate position. As Martinez potentially heads for the exit door, signing the Japan international would be an excellent move.

Although he is not the finished product at just 23 years old, Suzuki is so full of potential and already matched Martinez in a number of departments last season. Aston Villa would be wise to sign the Parma star in the event of their No.1’s departure this summer.
