Even since returning however, the former Manchester City star has only featured in two of the Gunners’ last seven top flight matches, totalling just 39 minutes on the pitch.

And, according to Romanothe 29 year-old could be forced to leave North London having recently changed representation to Branchini Associati, despite the fact that he “loves Arsenal” and is “desperate” to win trophies with them.

“Gabriel (Jesus) decided to go with a new agent a few weeks ago, so the decision was to start assessing his future with a different agency.

“He’s under contract until 2027, and I can guarantee to you that despite all the links to Italy, the player is completely focused on trying to win something with Arsenal this season, he is really obsessed by that.

“He wants to win with Arsenal, he loves Arsenal and wants to get titles this season. Then, in the summer, Gabriel Jesus could assess proposals in case of good bids for summer 2026.”

The striker is not the only man who could be heading out the exit door, with Mikel Arteta keen to refine his squad once again in the quest for more silverware, so who else could leave?

Arsenal supporters are growing tired of Mikel Arteta’s style of football.

Cristhian Mosquera

Mosquera has been strongly linked with a move to Everton, having not managed to cement himself in Arteta’s first-choice XI this season.

However, the 21 year-old is still highly rated by the manager, so it would be more likely to be a loan move to further his development in English football.

Ben White

Like Mosquera, White has not been a starter this year, and at a much later point in his career than the Spaniard could depart in search of more playing time.

Whether or not he is included in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad after a season in which he has started just six Premier League games could play a deciding role.

Gabriel Martinelli

Sections of Arsenal fans have called for upgrades on the left-wing this season, with neither of Martinelli or indeed Leandro Trossard standing out as a clear number one option, while Eberechi Eze is preferred centrally.
