Man Utd now hold talks to sign £87m Real Madrid star with same agent as Mbeumo
Manchester United have now held transfer talks to sign Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni, following a fresh update on his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Update on Tchouameni’s Real Madrid future
Tchouameni has been a key player for Real Madrid this season, in what has been a poor campaign by their usual standards, crashing out of the Champions League, before falling six points behind FC Barcelona in the La Liga title race.
Still, in some ways, it has been a solid campaign for the Frenchman on a personal level, having averaged 59.4 accurate passes per 90 in La Liga, the third-highest number in the squad.
It appears as though club chiefs have been left impressed by the midfielder’s performances, with a report from TEAMtalk revealing the Spanish side are determined to keep hold of him, and they are preparing to hold talks regarding a new contract.
Madrid’s eagerness to renew the 44-time France international’s current deal comes amid major interest from the Premier League, with Man United and Liverpool now keen on securing his signature.
In fact, INEOS have held talks with Tchouameni’s agents to assess the possibility of a summer deal, which could be on the expensive side, given that he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu for £87m from AS Monaco back in 2022.
Lauded as “unbelievable” by content creator Zaanthe central midfielder, who is represented by the same agency as Bryan Mbeumo, has started more league games than any Real Madrid player except Federico Valverde this season, and he is happy at the Spanish club.
As such, the Red Devils could struggle to get a deal done this summer, and they may be forced to move on to other midfield targets, of which there is no shortage, with Casemiro and potentially Manuel Ugarte now set to depart.

It could be difficult for Man United to find a suitable replacement for Casemiro, with the 34-year-old averaging the second-highest FotMob match rating in the squad this season (7.31), behind only Bruno Fernandes.
However, there are a whole host of options on the shortlist, including Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali, Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller, Atalanta maestro Ederson and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
Teddy Sheringham has even suggested the Red Devils should make a double swoop for Anderson and Forest teammate Morgan Gibbs-White, who recently scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur.
“I can understand why Forest wouldn’t let him go because of the calibre of player he is.
“He’s very different to Anderson – he gets forward, he’s got great tenacity, wants to fight people, and the aggression and will-to-win comes out in him. I think he’s a top, top player.
“He comes out a little bit differently to Anderson, but they complement each other perfectly in the Forest midfield.
“Could they [United] get them both? Money talks, doesn’t it, and what a readymade duo that would be to add to the Manchester United squad.”
