Rohl could unleash Rangers star who’s “similar” to Ryan Kent
They say never fall in love with a loan player, but it’s not hard not to considering the level of talent that Glasgow Rangers have welcomed to Ibrox in recent years.
There were mixed spells for the likes of Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey, although since then, almost every season has been punctuated by a statement temporary signing, be it Malik Tillman, Abdallah Sima or Vaclav Cerny.
Andreas Skov Olsen might have ambitions to be the latest loan success in Glasgow, although it’s fair to say that the season belongs to another loanee, Mikey Moore, with the teenager emerging as a centre-piece of Danny Rohl’s title contenders.
Still just 18, the promising winger is reaping the rewards of his decision to pursue regular game time away from Tottenham Hotspur, with the Gers very much hoping that the teenager’s stay can be extended beyond this season.
Latest on Rangers’ bid to keep Mikey Moore at Ibrox
Like most of a Rangers persuasion, it was a slow start for Moore under Russell Martin, with it taking until November for the Europa League winner to score his first goal for the club.
The fleet-footed teen has stepped up a gear since then, however, with three of his five Premiership goals having come since the turn of the year, including in the recent comeback draw with Livingston.
Moore, recognised as the most valuable player in the division by Transfermarkt, was instrumental in securing a point for the Light Blues at the weekend, heading home the equaliser in the closing stages, while subsequently denied what appeared to be a blatant penalty.
Whether it is operating off the left or centrally, the youngster is such an asset to Rohl’s side, hence why there is such a clamour to keep him onboard for next season.
There is hope that an agreement can be reached regarding an extension of his stay, with recent reports outlining that Spurs are ready to green-light that move, not least with the player himself keen on remaining at Ibrox.

The north London side are keen to see their academy product continue to earn consistent game time, although one potential stumbling block could be if Igor Tudor’s side suffer relegation to the Championship, a scenario that may end Rangers’ hopes of keeping him on board.
That is a discussion for another day, however, with Moore and Co’s current priority the upcoming Old Firm derby.
Rohl could unleash the new Ryan Kent vs Celtic
After the highs of seeing off Hearts, Rohl’s men were brought back down to earth on Sunday afternoon, held to a 2-2 draw by the division’s bottom side.
Rohl must drop 4/10 Rangers flop who’s even worse than Raskin & Skov Olsen
Danny Rohl must drop this Glasgow Rangers flop who could cost them the Premiership title.
There is credit in the manner of the away side’s fight back, while the denial of that late penalty could prove seismic in the title race, although regardless, such a result simply isn’t up to par at this crucial stage of the season.
Changes no doubt need to be made, with the weekend clash notably seeing Skov Olsen replaced at the break, following another muted showing from the 40-cap Dane.
Potentially in need of a replacement for the clash with Celtic, Rohl could look to Nedim Bajrami as another option in the forward line, be it off the flanks or in a number ten berth.
The Albanian playmaker has become something of a forgotten figure at Ibrox due to injury, although there were signs of life in Sunday’s cameo, having provided the assist for Emmanuel Fernandez’s stunner to make it 2-1.
Introduced in the 79th minute, Bajrami went on to record 23 touches – more than Skov Olsen (21) had racked up in the opening 45 – having attempted seven crosses while boasting a 92% pass accuracy rate.
That brief showing served as a reminder of what the Euro 2024 star can offer when called upon, with the 26-year-old previously said to bring “similar qualities that Ryan Kent had“, in the view of Kris Boyd.
Indeed, Bajrami mirrors Kent in being that creative link between the midfield and forward line, whether it is operating as a winger or number ten, with the best spell of his career at Empoli seeing him rack up 44 goals and assists in just 127 games.
Kent, in his Rangers pomp, was equally as effective as a provider as he was a goal-getter, scoring 33 goals and registering 56 assists in 218 games, a key figure in the 2020/21 title win, in particular.
While Moore might be the direct comparison to the Englishman as an exciting loan arrival from the Premier League, it is Bajrami who could potentially offer Kent-like quality to Rohl’s forward line, both this weekend and beyond.
