Aristocrat expands into omnichannel streaming with Awager acquisition
Aristocrat Leisure has announced plans to acquire Awager for an undisclosed amount.
Awager, an omnichannel slot streaming provider, enables real-time casino gameplay designed to boost player engagement through third-party content delivered across a unified digital platform. Unlike most suppliers, Awager focuses on creating a seamless omnichannel experience that bridges online and land-based gaming rather than treating them as separate verticals.
The acquisition is expected to accelerate Awager’s expansion into the broader US market. The company, headquartered in Israel, maintains operations across Israel, the US, and Eastern Europe.
This move follows a series of strategic initiatives by Aristocrat. In June, its Interactive division signed a six-year partnership with the Michigan Lottery, and in September, it entered an exclusive slot area agreement with the Plaza Hotel & Casino. The company also strengthened its leadership team recently, appointing Dylan Slaney as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive and Michael Daly as Senior Vice President.
Market response to the announcement has been cautiously positive, with Aristocrat’s share price trading at AU$68.95 (US$45.45) as of 16:10 BST, marking a 1.32% decline since the start of the session. The news follows Aristocrat’s success at the Global Gaming Awards Americas, where it earned three awards last night
