GKL Reports 40% Revenue in May: The Growth of Table Games
Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), South Korea’s foreign-only casino operator, has reported a strong increase in revenue during May. It was driven by the growth of table games.
The company has reported a total sales of KRW43.13 billion or about $28 million. According to the Korea Exchange, it was a 40.8% increase year-on-year and a 7.3% rise compared with April.
Table games were the main cause: they have generated over KRW38.84 billion or $25.2 million in revenue. It is a 43.3% increase from last year and 5% growth from last month.
Machine games have also contributed to the growth. They generated KRW4.29 billion or $2.8 million, which was only KRW3.53 billion or $2.3 million last year. Since April, machine games revenue has increased by 35.5%.
From January to May, GKL has recorded KRW189.97 billion or $123.4 million in casino sales. From 2025, it has increased by 8.5%
Table games were the main contributors and had KRW172.15 billion or $111.8 million in revenue. For machine games, it was KRW17.83 billion or $11.6 million.
GKL is having a strong momentum compared to last year as there is a growing demand for its core casino operators.
